Lonny Agnes (Kunkel) Goehner, age 102, of Holland, OH, died peacefully on Friday, July 7, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Bismarck, ND on May 8, 1915 to Henry O. and Lillian C. (Langenhorst) Kunkel. Lonny married Benjamin Goehner on May 29, 1936. Lonny was the skilled and valued matriarch of a relatively large four generational family that spanned over 100 years. She was a telephone operator for several years before her marriage. Lonny was a former member of the Red Hat Society and loved attending chapel services at the Lutheran Village at Wolfcreek where she resided. She also enjoyed playing the piano and organ as well as reading. Lonny’s favorite thing to do was spend time with her loving family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Lonny is survived by her children, Jerry (Connie) Goehner, Sharon (Larry) Johnson; grandchildren, James (Grace) Goehner, Jeff (Sara) Johnson, Kim Gehle, Eric Johnson, Cindy (Scott) Livingston, Peter (Nicole) Johnson; great-grandchildren, Christine, Matthew, Abigail, Rachel, Luke, Elizabeth, Lena, Hayden, Maxwell, Cooper, Caleb, Isaac, Charlotte, Henry, Oliver, Elliot; and sister-in-law, Audrey Kunkel. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ben; brother, John Kunkel; grandson, Allen Gehle; and brothers-in-law, Emil (Kay) Goehner and Joe (Marion) Goehner. Services for Lonny will be held on Saturday, July 15, 2017 beginning at 1:00 P.M. at the Lutheran Village at Wolf Creek Chapel, 2001 Perrysburg Holland Road, Holland, OH 43528, with Chaplain Ron Atkins officiating. Entombment will take place in Sun City, AZ. Memorial contributions in Lonny’s name may be made to the Wolf Creek Chapel. Arrangements were entrusted to Witzler-Shank Funeral Home, 222 E.
