Lola Mae Boyd

Lola Mae Robinson Boyd, was born on October 30, 1936 to the union of Katherine and Charles Robinson in Toledo, Ohio. Due to health complications, she was called home on Saturday, July 17, 2021 at the age of 84 years old. She transitioned at Ebeid Hospice Residency in Sylvania, Ohio. Lola attended Jesup W. Scott High School and retired from Darlington House as a Nurse Aide. Lola was a member of the Elks Grace Temple #424. She enjoyed traveling and partying in her younger days. Lola was the life of the party and always spoke her mind. She loved getting her hair and nails done. Although, she lost interest in getting her hair done as she got older she never lost interest in making sure her nails were done and they were always flawless. Lola lived her life. She loved having family reunions and her birthday parties because she was able to be amongst her family and friends. She also loved chocolate! Lola Mae Robinson Boyd was preceded in death by her mother and father Katherine and Charles Robinson, her brothers Eugene, Larry (twin brother), and John D. She was also preceded in death by her best friend Minnie Armstrong. Lola leaves to cherish her memory, children Larry (Jenny) Boyd, Gwendolyn Scott, Marcia Boyd, Ralph Boyd Jr., Marquita Boyd, Cynthia (James) Bunn, and Eugenia (Damonn) Boykin, 20 grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren and other relatives. A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 24, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Walker Funeral Home 5155 Sylvania Ave. (west of Corey Rd).
