Lois Marie Sieler

Lois Marie Sieler, passed away quietly Monday, August 20, 2018. She was born August 6, 1931 in Toledo to George and Marie Lyons. Lois was a 1949 graduate of Woodward High School. She married the love of her life Robert Sieler in 1954. Together they enjoyed many happy summers together at their cottage on Sand Lake in the Irish Hills of Michigan with their family and friends. Lois loved to travel, knit and play cards. She was a member of The Buzzin Duzzin card club which started getting together in 1953 and continued to do so all the way into 2017. In their travels, Lois and Bob ventured to Perth, Australia in 1994 to attend the wedding of their niece Ingrid. Lois was an avid reader and later took up golf with her husband. They enjoyed many golf outings with friends around town and at the yearly Sieler Open at the cottage. Lois is survived by her daughter, Lynette Sieler of Erie, MI; son, Scott Sieler of Toledo; brother, William Lyons of Maumee; sister-in-law, Mary Ellen Sieler of Toledo; brother-in-law, James Sieler of Perth, Australia; niece, Bonnie (Chris) Waterfield and their daughter, Maralissa of Bowling Green; nephew, Rob Lyons of Powell; niece, Ingrid Sieler (Ted Leunig) and family of Perth, Australia; and nephew, Michael Sieler and family of Claremont, Tasmania. She was preceded in death by her parents; beloved husband, Bob; brother, Robert Lyons; and sister-in-law, Jeanne Lyons. Lois was fun loving and had a great sense of humor. She will be dearly missed by her family, friends and all who knew her, especially cousins, Bonnie Wagner and June Mohrbach; great and loyal friends, Darlene Jaimez and JoAn Nichols; and by her faithful rescue dog, Cody. Per her wishes, services for Lois and interment at Toledo Memorial Park will be private. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Toledo Area Humane Society.
