Lois May Shultz, 87, of Maumee, OH passed away Thursday, February 19, 2009 in Avalon at Otterbein, surrounded by her loving family. She was born August 30, 1921 in Toledo to Oscar and Agnes Saylor Schlupp. A dedicated homemaker, Lois was a member of St. Pauls Lutheran Church where she served as treasurer of the Sunday School. She was a member of the Maumee Garden Club and enjoyed square dancing, gardening and painting. A loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Lois will be sadly missed by all who knew her. The widow of Cecil Shultz, Lois is survived by her children, Jon Antoinette Shultz, Suzanne Nevins and Nanette Steven Christensen; 11 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, Lois was preceded in death by her sisters, Elaine Inman and Verna Kinsel and brother, Walter Schlupp. Family and friends may visit Sunday from 3-8 p.m. in the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant Street, Maumee. Funeral services will be held Monday at 10:00 a.m. in St. Pauls Lutheran Church 112 East Wayne Street Maumee. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at Heartland Hospice and Avalon at Otterbein for the exceptional care mom received while a resident.
