Lois May Pollauf, age 91, passed away peacefully on January 23, 2019 at Sunset Village, Sylvania. She was born November 15, 1927 in Toledo to the late Floyd and Barbara (Werner) Crandall. Lois earned a bachelors degree in home economics from Purdue University and worked as an interior designer for Bennett Interiors. She and her sister, Audrey, also operated their own craft and sewing business for many years. Lois was a longtime volunteer at Luther Home of Mercy in Williston and enjoyed crafts, quilting, gardening, playing Bunco, square dancing and mall walking. Sentimental and compassionate, she was a peacemaker and caretaker, providing for the needs of the less fortunate and marginalized throughout her life. Lois was a member of Little Flower Catholic Church. Surviving are her children, Ellen (Dean) Kosanovich, Michael (Susan) Pollauf, Christine (Terry) Powell and Jerome Pollauf; seven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; siblings, Richard (Lyn) Crandall and Barbara Hamilton; and sisters-in-law, Rita DeNies, Virginia Seeman and Mary Jewele Pollauf. Lois was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bernard George Pollauf in 1990; sisters, Audrey Alford and Lucille Iler; and brothers, Ralph, Robert and Charles Crandall. Visitation will be held from 1-6 p.m. Sunday in the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave. (west of Corey Rd.) where the Rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. Additional visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 28, 2019 at Little Flower Catholic Church, 5522 Dorr St., Toledo. Burial will take place at Toledo Memorial Park. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Luther Home of Mercy, 5810 N. Main St., Williston, OH 43468.
