Lois Frances Levinson, age 91, passed away on Monday, December 17, 2018 at Toledo Hospital. The daughter of Robert and Katie Posner, she was born October 28, 1927 in Toledo. She was 1945 graduate of Woodward High School. Lois worked for Toledo Health and Retiree Center as a secretary. Later she worked in sales at Jacobson. After Jacobson closed, she worked for Mark Klaus until retirement. Lois was a survivor, she raised her family as a single mother. She had to teach herself to drive and find work to provide for her family. She was the feistiest little lady you ever met. She was the life of the party and loved being the center of attention. She enjoyed reading and was known for some of her best dishes, such as Chopped Liver, Russian tea biscuits and her orange cookies. Her grandchildren were the light of her life. Most of all she will be remembered as a wonderful mother and grandmother who worked tirelessly to provide for her family. She is survived by her sons, Robert (Barbara) and Howard (Chris) Epstein; grandchildren, Andy (Emilie) Epstein, Emily Epstein, Michael (Alexa) Epstein, Matthew Epstein; and great grandchild, Matis Epstein. She was preceded in death by her husband, Emanuel Levinson; and brother, Arthur Posner. The funeral will take place this Thursday, December 20, 2018 at 2 p.m. at Temple Shomer Emunim, 6453 Sylvania Ave. Sylvania, OH 43560 followed by interment at Historic Woodlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday evening at the home of Howard and Chris Epstein from 5-8 p.m., 6823 Pine Creek Dr. Toledo, OH 43617. Memorials may be given to Temple Shomer Emunim. Arrangements were handled through Walker Funeral Home 419-841-2422.
