Lois May Epmyer, age 85, of Toledo, Ohio died Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. She was born in Toledo on May 11, 1928 to Frank and Gladys (Rowell) Archambo. On October 9, 1948 she married Walter B. Epmyer who preceded her in death on May 28, 1998. Lois was longtime member of Providence Lutheran Church and previously, Epiphany Lutheran Church. She was a devoted homemaker which allowed her to actively participate in her children’s school’s Mothers Club, PTA, and Child Conservation League. In her spare time, she enjoyed her card club and playing Bunco. As a family, there were many camping trips through-out the country and in later years, Lois and her husband were snow-birds with the Florida Keys as their winter destination. She is survived by her children, Diana L. Burnett, Michele A. (John) Bobo, Marlene K. (Joe) Pedone and Henry D. Epmyer; grandchildren, Katy Bobo, Joseph Pedone III and Stephen Pedone; step-grandchildren, Anne (Michael) Brunner, Kelly (David) Klingman and Corey Burnett as well as 6 step-great grandchildren. Family and friends will be received on Friday, March 21, 2014 from 2-8 P.M. in Neville Funeral Home, Southwest Chapel, 7438 Airport Highway, Holland, OH (419-865-8879). Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 22, 2014 at 11:45 A.M. where her family will receive friends after 11:15 A.M at Providence Lutheran Church, 8131 Airport Highway, Holland, OH 43258 with Judith Atkins, officiating. Burial will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park. Those planning an expression of sympathy may do so to either Providence Lutheran Church or to Hospice of Northwest Ohio. The Epmyer family would like to thank the entire staff at Hospice of Northwest Ohio for their loving and compassionate care. They would also like to thank Estrella and Visiting Angels for making her time at home comfortable.
