Lois E. Driver, age 78 of Maumee, Ohio passed away Monday, February 8, 2016 at the Lakes of Monclova. She was born May 25, 1937 in Toledo to Wilson and Blanche (Snyder) Fox. Lois was a school teacher in the Romulus Michigan School District, Oregon City School District, Ken-Ell Brook Nursery School and Kindergarten and Toledo Public Schools for a total of 32 years retiring in 1995. She was also a University of Toledo instructor and field experience supervisor. Her lifetime memberships include UT Alumni Association, UD Mothers Club, Kappa Delta Sorority and the Order of the Eastern Star. Other memberships include First Presbyterian Church of Maumee where she served as Clerk of Session, Elder and Moderator of Deacons and on the Pastor Nominating Committee Ohio Council of Teachers of English and Language Arts, National Council of Teachers of English, Toledo Federation of Teachers and the Ohio State Board of Education Teacher Leader Network. Surviving is her husband Ben M. Driver; daughter, Melissa Jane Driver; special great-great niece and nephew, Lindsay and Liam Davis-Brady and other great and great-great nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Ruth E. Davis Friends will be received at the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home 501 Conant St., Maumee on Friday, February 12, 2016 from 4-8 PM. Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 13, 2016 at 10 AM in the First Presbyterian Church of Maumee 200 E. Broadway St. Maumee. Interment will follow at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to First Presbyterian Church in memory of Lois. Condolences may be sent to the family at walkerfuneralhomes.com
