Lloyd H. Whitcomb, 74 passed away peacefully on April 10, 2021 at his home in Oregon, Ohio. Lloyd was born and raised in Toledo, Ohio. As a young man, Lloyd served in the Army during Vietnam. Lloyd also earned a degree with the help of the GI Bill and worked for GM Powertrain (UAW Local 14) for 34 years, retiring in 2004. In his retirement years Lloyd spent the winter in Florida and the other parts of the year in Ohio. Most people will remember Lloyd wearing one of his many baseball hats and shorts no matter what the weather. Throughout his life, Lloyd had a love of motorcycles, John Wayne movies, rock music, playing guitar, going on cruises, fishing, camping, lake and beach life and traveling the world. On most days Lloyd could be found having a morning coffee and chatting with the neighbors or working on a friend’s computer. He was always quick to recite one of his many movie quotes when the opportunity arose, that always seemed to get a good chuckle. On the exterior, he came off as rough around the edges, but he had many friends and a big heart. He was preceded in death by his parents Lawrence and Maybelle Whitcomb and son Scott. He will be deeply missed by his fiancée Marie Sigler whom he loved and traveled extensively with. His brother Larry Whitcomb; children, Sandy Whitcomb, Carolyn Mundwiler, Mark (Nikki) Whitcomb and Sherri Whitcomb; grandchildren, Taylor, Austin, Alyssa, Kayleigh, Nathan and mother of his children, Susan Whitcomb. He will also be missed by his many travel friends near and far. A celebration of life will be held at Pearson Metroparks Macomber Lodge on May 16, 2021 from 2- 4pm.
