Mr. Lloyd Earl “Nikki” Walker

Lloyd Earl “Nikki” Walker, 59, departed this life on March 11, 2025. Nikki was born September 30, 1965 in Cleveland, OH to the union of Bertha and Nathaniel Walker. He attended May Flower Elementary preschool. In February, 1972, Nikki moved to Sunshine Children’s Home in Maumee where he lived the rest of his life. Nikki was proceeded in death by both parents, five brothers: Joseph, Eugene, Charles, Lee, and T Anthony; two sisters: Madeline, and Marie.

Nikki had a kind, sweet spirit, and an amazing smile. He attended Emmanuel Baptist Church, and loved going to Camp Courageous each year. Nikki had a love for muscle cars and whenever there was a car show in town, he would attend. He especially loved the Ford Mustang. Nikki spent time weekly at the Sunshine transportation garage where he would help wash the vehicles and “hang out” with the transportation crew. Nikki was very social, and was crowned the King of the Prom one year. Nikki loved to dine out and was always ready to attend a party. The University of Michigan was Nikki’s team and he could not say enough about them.

Nikki loved to call and talk to his sister Mary whom he held dear to his heart and often said, “my sister is one of my greatest friends.”

Nikki leaves to cherish his memory his sister, Mary; brothers Reginald and Clarence; his Sunshine Family, and a host of loving nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 21, 2025 from 9:30 am until the time of the service at 10:30 am at Sunshine Communities, 7223 Maumee Western Rd, Maumee, Ohio 43537.
