Lindale Casey Jones, affectionately known as “Dale,” was the third child born to Ernest and Dorothy Jones on April 28, 1968. Dale departed this life at the age of 57 years old on Saturday, June 21, 2025.

Dale was born in Toledo, Ohio where he lived and worked throughout his life. Dale accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age and enjoyed active participation in church throughout his life. He attended St. Theresa Elementary School where he played on the basketball team coached by his mother, and then graduated from EL Bowsher High School Class of 1986 where he participated in wrestling. He later graduated from Bowling Green State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications where he was active on the drama team. He was employed by the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services as an eligibility specialist until he medically retired in 2010. He and his sister were active members of Interfaith Mass Choir and a life-long avid bowler. He was ordained as a church deacon under the pastorate of the late Reverend Ardelia M. Corbett at Mays Chapel United Holy Church of America, Inc. working in various positions as superintendent of Sunday School, choice member/director and sound technician.

Dale married his childhood friend and cotillion escort, Kimberly McCown, on July 8, 2000, at sunrise. To this union, a son, Lindale Casey Jones, Jr., was born. He was also the proud parent to a bonus daughter, Morganne Alexandria Tyson. Dale was a dedicated family man who enjoyed spending time with family and friends, traveling, bowling, video games, and martial arts movies. He had an infectious laugh and a wonderful sense of humor, demonstrating the ability to walk on the lighter side of life. This sense of humor and the ability to find joy and peace carried him and those who loved him through many challenges. He bravely endured these challenges and always had a smile, joke, or kind word to offer. A great friend, son, brother, husband, and father – he was dearly loved and cherished by all who knew him.
