Linda M. Traxler

Linda M. Traxler was born October 17, 1940. She is the daughter of Donald and Virginia Murphy Gleason. She suffered from a long term respiratory condition, losing her battle on August 18, 2010 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg. Linda is survived by her husband of 35 years, Monte Traxler; mother, Virginia Murphy-Gleaseon Zollweg; son, Greg Ogrodowski of Toledo; daughter, Stacey Organ Tim of Lambertville, MI; step-son, Tim Traxler Lori of Pandora, OH; brothers, Robert Zollweg Steve Tester of Toledo and Richard Zollweg Sandra of Addison, MI; and sister, Judith Sims Carl of Toledo. Linda has 6 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews including her very special niece Vicki Traxler-Scanlan Trout of Naples, FL. The family wishes to recognize Tom and Elaine Bender for their lifetime of friendship, support, and assistance. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Jimmy and Jerry; her father Don Gleason, who was killed in action during the Battle of the Bulge in WWII; and her step-father, Laurel Zollweg. Linda was a graduate of Whitney High School. The Traxlers were residents of Florida for 20 years. Linda was personnel director and executive secretary at Marine Savings and Loan in Naples, FL prior to working with Monte in the insurance industry. They returned to Ohio in 1999. Visitation will be Friday from 2-8:00pm at the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave. west of Corey Rd.. Funeral Services will be Private.
