Linda Sue Thebeau

Following an extended illness with COPD, Linda Sue Thebeau, 74 of Maumee, Ohio passed away peacefully under the care of Hospice on Saturday, September 19, 2020. Linda was born November 30, 1946 in Toledo and raised in Whitehouse. She attended Neapolis Elementary and Anthony Wayne High School. Her working years began as a secretary for Ohio Truss Mart and then General Engineering. The United States Post Office is where she completed her career when she was able to retire as a mail sorter in 2009. As well as being a hard worker, Linda dedicated her time to collecting and donating funds to the American Cancer Society. Family and friends will forever cherish that Linda was an excellent listener with a genuine heart. Her love for God was fueled by her daily scripture readings and exhibited through her relationships and interactions. She could always be trusted to provide honest advice and support to anyone who needed her. Her zest for life was contagious as everyone who met her enjoyed her witty loving personality. It was a guarantee that after a visit with her you would leave happy and entertained. In addition to spending time with her loved ones, some of the things Linda enjoyed most in life included fishing, yard work, fast cars, and casino fun. "Little Linda" will be remembered always as one very special lady. Linda was preceded in death by her baby brother Robin Brentlinger, her beloved husband Mike Thebeau, her parents Sue and Robert Brentlinger and her son-in-law Robert Avaritt. She is survived by her children Lonnie (Tom) Avaritt Keller, Matt (Christine) Jeffers and Cale Jeffers. Her grandchildren Nicole Quate, Jessica Quate, Lindsay Kruse and Samantha Avaritt, six great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Her siblings Dennis Brentlinger, Jack (Mary) Brentlinger, Judy Cellura, Toby (Deb) Brentlinger, Lissa (Terry) Koepfer and her many nieces and nephews. In honor of Linda's life, services will take place at Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home. Visitation is scheduled for Wednesday, September 23, 2020 from 3:00-7:00 pm, funeral ceremony on Thursday, September 24, 2020 at 11:00 am with burial following at Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Special thanks and appreciation is extended to the staff of Hospice for their care and compassion.
