Linda A. Taylor

Linda A. Taylor age 87 of Wheelersburg, Ohio formerly of Maumee, OH passed on Saturday, October 29, 2016 at River Bend Assisted Living in Wheelersburg. She was born in Springfield, OH on April 23, 1929 to Elwood Merrit and LuCille (Taylor) Wilgus. Linda earned her Bachelor of Music, University of Toledo; (1951); Master of Music (minor in pipe organ performance) at Peabody Conservatory of Music, Baltimore, Maryland (1966). She was Consecrated as a Diaconal Minister of Music in the West Ohio Conference of the United Methodist Church. Surviving are her daughters, Krista Lynne Hutchings of Perrysburg, OH; Kara Leigh (Michael) Penley of Portsmouth, OH and Klaire Lori (Tom) Purtee also of Portsmouth, OH; Grandchildren, Jesse Hutchings Hurst, Alexandra Hutchings, Jennifer Penley, Christopher Penley, Timothy Penley, Cecilia Purtee Sherman, Abigail Purtee and 4 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, William Wilgus, Thomas Wilgus, Mary Ellen Wilgus Beck, and James “Jimmy” Wilgus. Family and Friends will be received at the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home 501 Conant St., Maumee on Friday, November 4, 2016 from 3-8 PM. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Saturday, November 5, 2016 at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at Casstown Cemetery, Casstown, OH.
