Linda A Spreng

Linda A. Spreng, age 74 of Toledo, Ohio passed away on Friday, May 21, 2021 at Flower Hospital in Sylvania due to multiple health complications. Linda was born in Monroe, Michigan September 22, 1946, fourth child of the late Edmund O. and Ruth Graham Spreng. Her childhood years were spent in Perrysburg, Ohio, where she enjoyed many outdoor activities, band, working at the Perrysburg pool, trips to the library, and other typical 1950s adventures. The family moved to Maumee in the 1960s where Linda graduated from Maumee High School in 1964. She worked for the FBI for two years immediately following high school before studying Information Systems at University of Toledo. Linda spent 25 years in data processing in the very early days of computers, and she excelled. Probably her favorite job, the final job of her career, was managing logistics at BAX Global, based at the Toledo Airport. It was an ideal place for someone with such a love of aircraft! Despite significant limitations from a near-fatal rare brain infection in 2002, Linda enjoyed retirement by keeping in close contact with sisters, cousins, friends, former workmates, and high school buddies. She touched many lives, particularly during the many years she spent with mother Ruth and brother Jay. Those three enjoyed all kinds of adventures and mischief, and Linda lovingly cared for Ruth and Jay at the end of their lives. Linda is survived by her sisters, Jane Kinyoun and Nan Bockelman; also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Jay Spreng. Private services will take place with close friends and family. Interment will take place at Ft.
