Linda Sue Kreger

Linda Sue Kreger, 73, of Rossford, passed away peacefully on May 25, 2026.

Born on June 4, 1952, in Toledo, Linda was the daughter of Jerome and Betty (Zieroff) Lawniczak. She was a proud graduate of Rossford High School. She married her high school sweetheart, Jim Kreger, and they shared 54 wonderful years together.

Throughout her life, Linda worked many different jobs, including selling home interiors and working at a bank. Her most meaningful career, however, was serving as a custodian for the Rossford Police Department from January 29, 1990, until her retirement on January 5, 2001.

Linda found joy in life's simple pleasures. She loved crafting, painting, sewing, and attending craft shows. She took great pride in her gardens and flower beds and enjoyed spending time outdoors tending to them. One of her favorite pastimes was going on motorcycle rides with her beloved husband, Jim. Linda also enjoyed relaxing with her favorite soap operas, especially The Young and the Restless and As the World Turns. She loved dining out, especially for Chinese food and her Wednesday trips to Cracker Barrel. She had a sweet tooth for mints and Werther's Original candies, and she especially cherished the holiday seasons of Thanksgiving and Christmas. Above all, Linda adored her dogs, Sophie and Rigby, who brought her endless companionship and happiness.

Linda is survived by her loving husband, Jim Kreger; daughter, Christie Staup; son, Scott (Cori) Kreger; grandchildren, Jacob (Emily) Schimming, Madison (Morgan) Schimming, Olivia Kreger, and Brinlee Kreger; brothers, Jim "Harry" (Debbie) Lawniczak and Daniel Lawniczak; sister, Sue (Herb) Cook; and sister-in-law, Shelley Lawniczak.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jerome and Betty Lawniczak, and her brother, John Lawniczak.

Per Linda's wishes, there will be no formal services.
