Linda Sue Kreft

Linda Kreft, age 77, of Sylvania, Ohio, passed away at her home, surrounded by family and pets on October 25, 2026.

Linda was born in Toledo, Ohio, on May 3, 1949 to Frank and Margaret Cox. She grew up on Gasser Street in Toledo, was the youngest of 7 children, and went to DeVilbiss High School. She graduated from the University of Toledo and worked as a teacher and in retail before having children.

She married her husband, Tom, in 1975 and celebrated 50 years of marriage to him prior to his passing in February this year. She was an amazing mom to 2 children, Paul and Emily, and raised and rescued many dogs and cats throughout her life.

Linda was an avid reader, plant-lover, dog-mom, and will forever be remembered for her kindness to everyone she encountered. She and Tom both loved their home and neighbors on Oak Hill Drive in Sylvania.

Linda will be missed more than words can express. She's survived by her son, Paul Kreft (Kristopher Kennedy), her daughter Emily Kreft, dogs Red and Lulu, cat Meadow, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tom Kreft, her parents, her 6 siblings, and countless dogs and cats.

A visitation will be held at Walker Funeral Home, 5155 W Sylvania Avenue, Toledo, Ohio, on Sunday, November 1, 2026, from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. An additional hour of visitation will take place on Monday, November 2, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., followed by a Celebration of Life service at 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home. A graveside service will be held at Toledo Memorial Park, 6382 Monroe Street, Sylvania, Ohio, immediately following the conclusion of the services at the funeral home on Monday.
