Linda L. Ely

Linda Lee Ely died on October 13, 2024, at the age of 76. She was born to her parents, Charles and Martha (Walters) Gleason on December 26, 1947. She grew up in Toledo, OH, and graduated from Rogers High School.

She met William Ely, and they were married on July 6, 1968. Also known as “Pollock”, Linda had a way of caring for everyone she loved. She was a total sweetheart.

Her passion for shopping was her favorite pastime. She could spend hours on her phone, making purchases. She loved to eat McDonald’s cheeseburgers, drink coffee and Pepsi, and attend Buck family gatherings with her best friend.

Left to cherish her memory are brothers, Charles Gleason Jr., and Robert Gleason, brother-in-law, Robert Staiffer, special niece and caregiver, Tammy (John) Fehser; numerous nieces and nephews; extended family and friends; her best friend Karen Buck and family; and her precious dog Gizmo.

Linda was preceded in death by her husband, William Ely; parents; sisters, Joyce Lemon, Barbara Staiffer, May Jo Prather; brother, Bud Ankey; and nephew, Thomas Lemon.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, October 19, 2024, from 9:30 am to 10:30 am at the Walker Funeral Home (5155 W. Sylvania Ave.) with a funeral service at 10:30 am. Interment will follow at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
