Linda Kay Earl, 74, of Toledo, passed away Sunday, March 27, 2022, at Heartland Rehabilitation Center of Flower Hospital due to Cancer. She was born May 29, 1947, in McArthur, OH to the late Donald and Charlotte (Whisler) Denison. She graduated from the University of Toledo and worked as a Health Unit Coordinator at St. Vincent’s Hospital for 35 years. Linda was former Vice Chairman of the support group for the St. Vincent’s UAW and active with St. Vincent’s Bargaining Committee. She founded the Java Mill coffee shop in Point Place, Toledo in the early 90’s for her love of coffee. She loved outdoor activities including horseback riding in her early years, swimming, gardening, and loved her raft rides at the lake with her husband and her dear grandchildren. Linda was also an excellent cook and enjoyed antiquing and bowling. All who knew Linda could attest to her selflessness. She was always thinking of others and their needs before her own. Her joyful presence and her contagious laugh and smile enriched all who knew her and will never be forgotten.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Donald Earl; Daughter Stacey Grey, Stepchildren, Ken Earl, Randy (Sue) Earl, Melissa Kill, Connie (John) Spitznaugle and Bonnie Haims. Grandchildren, Ericka (Matthew) Zitzelberger, Savannah, Nicole, Ryan, Jenna, Collin, Alex, Clay, Jake, and Samantha. Great Grandchildren Zeth and Darrian.
Family and friends are invited to visit 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. Per Linda’s wishes for cremation, a Memorial Service will be held at 4 p.m., Saturday, April 9, 2022, in the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave. (west of Corey Rd.). Linda’s family suggests, in lieu of flowers, that memorial donations in her name be made to the Toledo Area Humane Society, 827 Illinois Avenue, Maumee, OH 43537.
