Memory Book 45th Class Reunion Name: Linda M. Conquest Address: 121 Linden Street, Port Clinton, Ohio 43452 Phone: 419-734-4146 Dear Classmates, I’m so happy to share my experiences and look forward to hearing about yours. I have kept busy since graduation. My family has grown to 5 nieces and nephews and 13 great nieces and nephews. Over the years, I have had fun, excitement, travel and not to mention a lot of hard work. The few years after graduation I was employed at various jobs and performed a variety of duties. I worked at the high school, Underwood’s Restaurant, Phil’s Inn, Greenhouse Restaurant, Best Western Hotel, Ramada Inn, Island House and a few more. In the mid 70’s I worked at Snark Products for a few years and in 1979 I was hired by Port Clinton Manufacturing to work on the production line. This is my 35th year with them. I plan to work until I’m 70. One of my most fun trips was with my Mom. She and I went to England in 1982 where we stayed and visited with my grandmother, aunts, uncles and cousins. We also toured the countryside which is very beautiful. I was born in Port Clinton but my Mom and 2 older sisters are from England. Other trips include Walt Disney World in CA, Hoover Dam and Copper Queen Mines in AZ, Las Vegas, NV where I saw the Lipizzan stallions and King Arthur’s Tournament. At another time, I visited the London Bridge and went to the Bio Sphere also in AZ. I spent the 4th of July in Washington D.C. one year to watch the fireworks. In 2000, I went to Discovery Cove and SeaWorld Adventure Park to see Shamu and Clydedale horses in FL. Yes, I swan with the dolphins. From there, I hopped on the Royal Caribbean Cruise Line and went to the Bahamas. I will be taking another trip to Tallahassee, FL this fall for my aunt’s 90th birthday party. Unfortunately, both my parents are deceased. I miss them very much. I maintain my house, cook most of my meals and do a lot of yard work. I enjoy knitting, movies, crafts and working in the garden when I have time. I can look back and say I am very proud of my accomplishments. Sincerely, Linda Conquest July 2014
