Linda June Combs

LINDA JUNE (HATHAWAY) COMBS Linda June (Hathaway) Combs, 73, of Northwood, Ohio passed away Monday, January 11, 2021 at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center. Linda was born March 10, 1947 in Toledo, Ohio to Lewis and Corrine (Barr) Hathaway. She married Robert A. Combs on April 18, 1964 and together they shared 56 years. Linda worked as an office manager for a pediatric psychiatrist in Orlando, Florida before her retirement in 2004. She loved baking and cooking for her family. Linda enjoyed talking to anyone she met. When she was a young girl the family gave her the nickname “Wendy” because she enjoyed talking so much. Linda loved spending time with her family and friends and will be missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her husband, Robert; daughters, Lisa (Ron) Stewart and Angela Combs; grandchildren, Ron (Chanelle) Stewart, Jr., Scott (Krista) Stewart and Bryant Stewart; great-grandchildren, Dereck Stewart, Ellyshia Stewart, Devin Stewart, Adrian Stewart, Austin Stewart, Adelynn Stewart, Adam Stewart and Braiden Stewart and her sisters, Illa Frusher and Geraldine “Gerri” Thomas. She was preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Timothy Stewart; brother, Glenn Boos; sister, Leona Wingerger; brother, Dallas Boos and brother, Fern Boos. Friends will be received Thursday, January 14, 2020 from 3-7 P.M. at Witzler-Shank Walker Funeral Home, 222 E. South Boundary Street, Perrysburg (419-874-3133). Funeral services will be held Friday, January 15, 2020 at the funeral home at 11 A.M. Burial will follow in New Belleville Ridge Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in Linda’s name to the family. Linda loved to bake and cook, and her favorite pastime was reading cookbooks, the family asks that everyone write down and bring in their favorite recipe.
