Linda R. Bordofske, 70, of Oak Harbor, formerly of Texas, died Sunday, May 3, 2015, at Parkview Care Center in Fremont, Ohio. She was born December 19, 1944, in Brownfield, Texas, to William and Cara Beth (Vaughn) Statham. In August 1995 in Big Spring, Texas, she married Calvin L. Bordofske and he survives. For many years Linda worked as an attendant and care provider at Big Spring State Hospital in Texas. She was a member of Primitive Baptist in Big Spring and a member of the God and Countrys Cowboy Church of Branson, Missouri, where she enjoyed her friendship with Norma Jean. Lindas pastimes included gardening, working crossword puzzles, and watching her favorite TV shows, Mash and Touched by an Angel. She especially loved her two little dogs, Cookie and Bell Bell. Linda enjoyed and loved her family and always opened her home to assist family members. She is survived by her husband, Calvin, sister, Lois Fear of Oak Harbor, brother, Carl (Karen) Statham of El Paso, Texas, numerous nieces and nephews, several great nieces and nephews, and her cousin, Eva Watkins of Big Spring, Texas. Her parents and brother, William M. Statham, preceded her in death. There will be no services in Ohio. Private services will be held in Big Spring, Texas, at a later date. Memorials for Linda may be directed to Big Spring Humane Society, 5710 N. Service Rd., Big Spring, TX 79720. Local arrangements have been handled by The Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, Oak Harbor, Ohio.
