Linda Beckner

Linda A Beckner (Gast) passed away peacefully with her family nearby on August 29, 2025. She was born in Sandusky, Ohio on July 2, 1947. She became a Maumee/Toledo resident, where she worked and raised her family. Lin was a long-time employee of Columbia Gas, where she would eventually retire from. She made many friends there including her husband, Billy Beckner. Lin was a completely devoted mother. She loved her kids and grandkids above all else. She loved to be outside with nature and animals. She was an avid cross-stitcher and knitter. She loved art, history and a good JFK conspiracy theory. She loved having her pets around her. She loved her family more than anything, especially the grandkids.

Linda is preceded in death by her husband, Billy Beckner; and by her parent Richard and Jean Gast. She is survived by her immediate family members, son, Howard Brown; and her three grandchildren, Hayden, Mason, and Elise Brown.

Services will be held Friday, September 12th, at Walker Funeral Home, 5155 W Sylvania Ave, Toledo, OH. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. with a service to follow.
