Linda Tanner Al-Bathish, age 59, died peacefully on March 5, 2021 at her daughter’s home. She was born July 26, 1961 in Toledo to the late Robert and June (Petersen) Tanner. She was a 1980 graduate of Whitmer High School. Linda had a compassionate heart, especially for senior citizens and served as a devoted aide with Blackstone Home Health. She was an animal lover, avid Browns fan and enjoyed reading mystery novels. Linda was also a skilled cook and baker, known for her lasagna and lemon meringue pie. She was a loving, caring, loyal and happy soul. Linda found her greatest joy in spending time with her family and close group of friends, especially her beloved grandchildren. Left to cherish her memory is her children, Ashley and Jessica Tanner and Matthew Al-Bathish; grandchildren, Matthew Robert and Audrina Rose; siblings, Mary (Joe) Van Brackel and Beverly Tanner; sister-in-law, Wendy Tanner; nephews, Stephen, Joseph and Jacob Tanner; niece, Jill Van Brackel; and her dog, Peppi. She was also preceded in death by her brother, James Tanner. Family and friends are invited to visit from 10 a.m. until the time of services at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, March 10, 2021 in the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave. (west of Corey Rd.). Burial will be at Toledo Memorial Park.
