Lily Frances Himmel

Lily Frances Himmel, age 8, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, July 27, 2010 at the University of Toledo Medical Center Hospital. Lily was born on August 16, 2001 to Bill and Terri Kosek Himmel. She was a student at Stranahan Elementary School and just completed the second grade. Lily, a music lover, enjoyed horseback riding, ice skating and swimming. She was also a roller coaster enthusiast and loved the animals at the zoo especially the seals and the monkeys. Lilys strength and courage in the face of adversity was inspiring and she brought a smile to everyones face. The worlds a better place because of her and we will forever miss our little Bella. Lily is survived by her loving family, parents, Bill and Terri; brother, Sam; grandparents, Tom & Del Kosek, Barry & Cheryl Himmel; aunts and uncles, Tom Laurie Kosek, Dawn Mark Herring, Dennis Kosek, Phyllis Lon Saunders Kratz, and Beth Louis Innenberg Manchick; and cousins, Tommy Kosek, Nikki Bob Appleman, Jon & Alex Herring, Zak, Olivia, Ellie, Emmie, and Elena Kosek, Haleigh & Elena Kratz, Stefani & Emily Manchick. She was preceded in death by her cousins, Josh Herring, Sean & Stevie Kosek. Friends and family may visit on Thursday from 2 to 9 pm at the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 W. Sylvania Ave. west of Corey Rd. where services will be held on Friday at 10 am. Followed by interment at Toledo Memorial Park. The family will be receiving guests at the home of Bill and Terri Himmel Saturday evening from 7-9 PM and Sunday from 12-5 PM. Memorial tributes may be given to Gliding Stars of Greater Toledo, P.O.
