Lillian Eva Valasek

Lillian Eva Valasek, 92, of Elmore, died early morning Wednesday, September 19, 2018, at Lakes of Monclova, Maumee, Ohio. She was born December 17, 1925, in Elmore, Ohio, to Joseph and Anna (Havlik) Repka. On October 6, 1956, at St. Richards Church she married Martin C. Valasek and he preceded her in death December 14, 2000. Lillian worked as a bookkeeper for almost 10 years at Toledo Mold in Perrysburg and helped her husband on their farm. She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Genoa, where she had served on the Altar Society and the Grotto Committee. Lillian was a devoted homemaker and mother, who enjoyed gardening. Surviving Lillian are her sons, Martin (Diane) J. Valasek, Thomas M. Valasek and Robert (Debbie) J. Valasek, daughter, Sharon A. Valasek, four grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter-in-law, Barb Valasek, brothers, Joe, John and Frank, and sisters, Ann and Mary. Visitation will be 4:00-8:00 p.m., Thursday, September 20, 2018, at the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, 501 West St., Genoa. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:00 a.m., Friday, September 21, 2018, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Genoa, with interment to follow in Clay Township Cemetery. The family asks that memorials for Lillian be given to Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 204 Main St., Genoa, OH 43430; or Hospice of Northwest Ohio, 30000 E. River Rd., Perrysburg, OH 43551. We would like to thank all who cared and loved Lillian during her stay at St. Clare Commons, The Lakes of Monclova and the staff of Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
