Lillian Lily Lucille Phares was born March 10, 1920 to Charles and Ella Schaber in Riga, MI. She passed away on January 14, 2019 after living a fulfilled 98 years of life. She could be feisty often but at the same time she was full of love. During her journey in life, she married her husband Wilbert of 40 years. She worked for Meilink Steel Safe Co. where she retired after 29 years. Lillian had a passion for playing the organ for the church choir as a devoted New Apostolic member. She loved her garden of flowers at her home that she manicured daily, and she had a love for stray animals. She was known to many in the neighborhood as the lady that walked the big dog and to her family as Little. Several family members, friends and pets have passed before her that we know she is very happy to be reunited with again. She will be greatly missed by her daughter Linda Miller, granddaughter Lisa (Mike Curtis) Miller, and great granddaughter Larissa Miller as well as her Brother-In-Law Robert (Barbara) Phares and her very special friends Kevin, Bill and Wendy. Visitation for Lily will be held at Walker Funeral Home, 5155 W. Sylvania Ave., Sylvania on Friday, January 18, 2019 from 11:00am until the time of the funeral service at 1:00pm. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Toledo K9 Association, 525 N. Erie St., Toledo, OH 43604.
