Lillian Ellis Nassar NASSAR Lillian Ellis Lillian Ellis Nassar, age 93, of Toledo, OH, passed away Monday, July 16, 2007, in Naples, Florida, where she resided the last three years. Born on October 29, 1913, she was the eldest daughter of Reverend Elias N. Ellis and Julia Easa Ellis and had five siblings. They were raised in Cleveland, Ohio. Lillian and her family moved to Toledo, Ohio about the time she met her loving husband-to-be, Nicholas Nassar Jr. of Toledo. They were married January 21, 1940. Lillian and Nicholas were the owners and founders of Splendor Shower Door Company which was then located on West Central Avenue until her husbands death in June of 1979 when Splendor was sold to the present owners. Lillian was an active member of her church and community, volunteering her time to worthy organizations such as Meals on Wheels and The Toledo Hospital, visiting patients, delivering flowers and helping patients to their rooms. She was a member of St. George Antiochian Orthodox Cathedral and the Ladies Benevolent Society of St. George for over fifty years. She was a member of Dendarah Court #10 Ladies Oriental Shrine for over forty years until 2007. Lillian also was a golfing member of the ladies golf league for over 25 years, playing at Whiteford Valley until the age of 86. In 2004, because of declining health and to be near her children, she moved to Naples, Florida. Lillian was preceded in death by her husband, Nicholas Nassar Jr; her father, Reverend Elias Ellis; her mother, Julia Ellis; brothers, William Norman Ellis and George Ellis; sisters, Jean Margy and Peggy Bismark and nephews, Jeffrey James Shemas, George Margy Jr. and John Bismark Jr. She is survived by her son, Dr. Ronald Ellis Nassar Sue Ann; daughter, Sharon Lee Culianos Constantine; grandchildren, Bradley Ellis Nassar Elizabeth and Molly Wyse Matthew; great-grandchildren, Bradley E Nassar Jr., Meredith Nassar, Nicholas George Nassar, Tyler Wyse, Maxwell Wyse and sister, Sally Shemas; as well as many loving nieces and nephews. Visitation will be on Wednesday, July 18, from 3 to 9 p.m. at the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 W. Sylvania Ave., west of Corey Rd. with Trisagion prayers at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be on Thursday, July 19 at 10:00 a.m. at St. George Antiochian Orthodox Cathedral, 3754 Woodley Rd., Toledo, OH 43606. In lieu of flowers, family and friends may choose to make memorial donations to Hospice of Naples, 1095 Whippoorwill Lane, Naples, FL 34105 or St. Georges Cathedral.
