Our Lord has opened up the gates of heaven to welcome our angel, Lillian T. Kirdahy, age 88 on Thursday, February 9, 2017. She was born April 7, 1928 in Detroit, Michigan to David S. and Margaret (Malakie) David. Our angel was there bringing joy, laughter and love to everyone she met and was adored by young and old. Her passion to serve complemented her spiritual devotion and love to the Virgin Mary. Lillians love for entertaining was truly evident as she opened her home to everyone near and far. Her special gift was when she took graceful command of the dance floor. As the widow of Francis Kirdahy, she was also preceded in death by brothers Albert and John David. Surviving is her son John (Yadira) Kirdahy; daughters Renee (John) Ellis and Sharon (Doug) Barker; grandchildren Nick (Alexandra), Lauren (Jeffrey) Kallil, Lindsey, Alexa, Jonathan and Paulisa (Gianna) Douglas; great-granddaughter Noelle; brother-in-law Tony (Tatiana) Kirdahy; and her loving nieces and nephews. The celebration of her life will begin with visitation at the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave. (west of Corey) on Friday February 10 from 2-8 PM with Trisagion prayers at 7:30 PM. Visitation will continue on Saturday, February 11 after 9 AM in Christ the King Church, 4100 Harvest Lane, Toledo where the Mass of the Resurrection will be held at 10 AM. Interment will follow in Toledo Memorial Park Cemetery. The family suggests memorials to Christ the King Church or St. George Cathedral, 3754 Woodley Rd., Toledo.
