Lillian Casey

Lillian Casey, age 88, daughter of the late Ralph and Clara Sanderson, passed away on September 4, 2020 after a brief illness. She is survived by her sisters Marlene Snyder, Joan Schliebner, and Linda Korneffel, and brother John Sanderson. Her brother Myron Eugene Sanderson died in October 2019. Her beloved partner, Richard (Dick) Coble passed away in 2018. She was formerly married to Charles Casey, M.D. Lillian graduated from the University of Toledo, received her Master's degree at The Ohio State University, and earned Ph.D. in Theater at the University of Michigan. Lillian was well known in the theater community having acted in many plays at the University of Toledo, University of Michigan and the Toledo Repertoire Theatre. Also surviving Lillian are her beloved nephews and nieces Rebecca Snyder, Phillip Snyder, David Sanderson, Gregg Sanderson, Matt Sanderson, Sam Sanderson, Susan Keim, Kylie Johnson, Peta Schumacher, Randy Barnaby, Scott Barnaby and Brenda Barnaby. Special thanks and gratitude to her good friend and confidant, John Coble, Dick Coble's son, who supported and encouraged her during her most trying times, and also to everyone at the Classic Café and Martha Cromberg. A private graveside service will be held at Ottawa Hills Memorial Cemetery Chapel of Peace Mausoleum. Donations may be made to the Toledo Repertoire Theater.
