Lewis Lew R. Keck, age 62, of Perrysburg, Ohio passed away Tuesday, February 8, 2011 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg surrounded by his loving family. He was born May 13, 1948 in Wilkesville, Ohio to Raymond and Irene Weber Keck. Lew was a 1966 graduate of Perrysburg High School. He married his childhood sweetheart, Carolyn Link Keck on September 20, 1969. He was a very kind and gentle man, who enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. Lews children learned a strong work ethic by his example. He enjoyed his job and loved his work family at Pilkington N.A. A farm boy at heart; seeing, hearing or talking about a classic John Deere tractor could bring a smile to his face and a tear to his eye. The greatest joy of Lews life was his family especially his nine grandchildren, they knew him as Poppy. Lew is survived by his loving wife, Carolyn Keck; children, Marcus Nicole Stec Keck, Connie Dave Sanford and Nicole Peter Johnson; grandchildren, Sophie, Emma, Anson and Izzie Keck, Nicholas and Elise Sanford and Charlotte, Henry and Oliver Johnson; brother Earl Barb Keck; and sisters, Marie George and Bea John Zeller and mother-in-law, Evelyn Link. In addition to his parents, Lew was preceded in death by his infant sister, Mary Keck; father-in-law, Norbert Link and brother-in-law, John George. Lews family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the staff and nurses on 1D at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center. Family and friends may visit Saturday, February 12, 2011 from 5-8 pm and on Sunday, February 13, 2011 from 2-8 pm in the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant Street, Maumee, OH where a Scripture Service will be held Sunday at 7:00 pm. Funeral services will begin Monday, February 14, 2011 at 9:45 am in the funeral home followed by the Funeral Mass at 10:30 am at Blessed John XXIII Church in Perrysburg. Interment will follow in St. Rose Cemetery. The family requests memorial contributions to Blessed John XXIII Church Building Fund or Hospice of Northwest Ohio. www.walkerfuneralhomes.com
