Leslie L. Lewallen

Leslie L. Lewallen, age 63 of Sylvania passed away December 28, 2022 in New Port Richey, Florida. She was born March 16, 1959 in Toledo to Ross and Florence (Gill) Doremus. A graduate of Anthony Wayne High School, she worked in food service and was a bus monitor for Washington Local Schools.

Leslie was preceded in death by her parents; and sisters, Bonnie Johnson and Tina Brown. Surviving is her husband of 47 years, Dennis; children Samantha Jo (Jonathan) Fugate, Jennifer Lynn Stewart and Travis (Tonya) Lewallen; grandchildren, Sonya (Christopher) Zahs, Makayla Taylor, John Fugate, Kylee and Kaleb Stewart and Macie Lewallen; great-grandchildren, Coltin and Linkoln Zahs; and siblings, Ralph and Ross Doremus and Debra Michels.

Friends will be received at the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave. (west of Corey) on Monday, January 9, 2023 from 2-8 pm. Visitation will continue on Tuesday, January 10 after 10 am where funeral services will follow at 12 noon. Interment will be private. The family suggests memorials to a charity of the donor’s choice.
