Lesley Ann Sharples, 59, of Oak Harbor, OH passed away peacefully Thursday, December 10, 2020 at Stein Hospice Inpatient Unit, Sandusky, OH after her brave battle with cancer. She was born on February 10, 1961 in Liverpool, England. Lesley worked as a supported living provider for individuals with developmental disabilities. Above all else, Lesley was a proud and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Lesley loved to cook and bake British home comfort foods. She enjoyed hosting family gatherings and was always the life of the party making everyone smile and laugh with her British sense of humor. Lesley was a proud Scouser and dedicated supporter of Liverpool Football Club (LFC) who always watched the footie matches wearing her favorite LFC jersey. She was devoted to her position as a supported living provider for her clients who affectionately nicknamed her “Mary Poppins,” or “Mama Poppins,” as she took great pride in her job and constantly strived to make sure everyone she knew was cared for and loved. Family and friends meant the world to Lesley. She will be deeply missed and forever in our hearts. As the LFC anthem goes, “walk on, walk on, with hope in your heart, and you’ll never walk alone.” Lesley is survived by her husband, Mark Sharples, daughter, Michelle (Nichole Velliquette) Murray, son, Terry “Tegs” Murray, granddaughter, Isabelle “Izzie” Murray, stepchildren, Fawna (Truax) Sharples, and Eric Sharples, father, Lewis Campbell, siblings, Louise (Reg) Scriven, Andrew (Catherine) Campbell, Tony (Lisa) Campbell, and Elaine Aitken, and her beloved dog, Charlie. She was preceded in death by her mother, Ruth (Bird) Campbell, and her grandparents, Annie (Alf) Beech, and Matty (Harold) Bird. Memorial services for Lesley will be held at the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, 165 E. Water St., Oak Harbor, 10:00 a.m., Sunday, December 20, 2020.
