Leroy H. Tupman

Leroy H. Tupman, age 74, passed away Sunday January 4, 2015 at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center.  The son of Leroy H. and Isabelle Hartford, he was born May 1, 1940 in Oregon, OH and after his fathers death at the age of 4 months he was adopted by Clifford Tupman after marrying his mother.  He married Shirley Lynn on June 16, 1962 in Toledo.  He worked for General Motors retiring after 40 years.  He enjoyed camping with his family.  He was a CB enthusiast known as Apple Jack on the radio.  As his son got older, they worked as team on the Circle Track race circuit.  He and Shirley would regularly travel to visit their daughter.  Leroy was mechanically talented and was often asked to lend a hand with repairs, even if it meant just putting a little gas in his daughters car.  Most of all he loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchild. He is survived by his wife, Shirley; children, Michael Tupman, Terri (Michael) Justen; grandchildren, Crystal Tupman, Amber (Donnie) Drobny, Mikayla Justen; great grandson Giovanni Taormina.  He was preceded in death by his Biological father, Leroy Hartford; mother, Isabelle Tupman; adoptive father, Clifford Tupman; sisters, Peggy and Carol. Friends may visit the family on Friday from 2-9 PM at Walker Funeral Home 5155 Sylvania Ave. (west of Corey Rd) where services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday.  Interment will follow at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.  Condolences may be shared with his family at walkerfuneralhomes.com.  The family would like to thank Drs.
