Leonore Gertrude Ryan

Lenore Gertrude Ryan, age 95, formerly of Maumee passed away Friday, February 6, 2009 in Middleburg Heights, OH. She was a resident of Strongsville, OH for the past six years. She was born May 8, 1913 in Gibsonburg, OH to Adam and Jessie Able Paul. Lenore was a graduate of the former Robinwood School of Nursing. She was employed at the former Colonial Nursing Home and was a Registered Nurse at St. Lukes Hospital for 35 years, until her retirement in 1970. Lenore was a member of St. Pauls Lutheran Church in Maumee where she was involved in many volunteer groups and senior citizens groups. She was a past president of the Lucas County Extension Club. The widow of William L. Ryan, Lenore is survived by her loving family; children, Donald P. Carol Ryan of East Bridgewater, MA, Judith Mae Gary Klar of Temperance, MI, Dorothy L. Ralph Stephenson of Maumee, OH and William L. Helen Ryan, II of North Royalton, OH; 7 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, Lenore was preceded in death by her sisters, Lucille Trick and Viola Mae Elliot. Family and friends may visit Monday from 3-8 p.m. in the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant Street, Maumee OH. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. in St. Pauls Lutheran Church, 112 East Wayne Street, Maumee. Interment will follow at Toledo Memorial Park Cemetery.
