Leonard G. Wajer

Leonard G. Wajer, age 77, passed away on October 27, 2024. He was born on February 27, 1947, to parents Leo and Margaret Wajer. A native of the Toledo area, Leonard graduated from Whitmer High School in 1965. He married Ann Werner-Rapp in 1998.

Leonard worked in the tool and die industry for several years before becoming the owner of a laundromat and dry cleaner. He ran this business for 13 years before he officially entered retirement in 2002.

Even in retirement, Leonard kept himself busy. He was very proud to restore his 1968 Buick Gran Sport in the past year.

At the end of his life, Leonard had the honor of furthering medical research and training future medical professionals by donating his body to the University of Toledo Medical Center.

Leonard is survived by his wife, Ann (Werner) Wajer; daughters, Kimberly (Philip) Wajer-Scott and Kelly (Brian) Smith; stepchildren, Leanne (Russ) Eby and John Rapp; grandchildren, Duncan Scott, Paige Rapp, Sydney Rapp, Kathryn Rapp, Lindsay Booth, and Jessica Booth; and great-grandson, Logan Davis. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Margaret Wajer; and his daughter, Tracy Wajer.

In keeping with Leonard’s wishes, there will be no services at this time. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
