Leonard O. Geldin

Leonard “Ben” O. Geldin, 91, of Elmore, Ohio passed away November 10, 2021. He was born in Darling, Ohio on June 29, 1930 to Carl and Nora (Schwartzwalder) Geldin. He proudly served our country in the United States Army from 1950-1952. Ben married his sweetheart, Margie on December 10, 1955 and spent 58 years together. He retired after 30 years from the Sandusky County Highway Department and farmed as a second career. Ben was a faithful member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Fremont. Ben is survived by his daughters, Jennifer (Mark) Koenig and Donna Geldin-Spargo; sister, Irene Fry; many nieces and nephews; and faithful canine companion and friend, Molly. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Margie Geldin; son, Jeffery Geldin; son-in-law, Robert Spargo; siblings, Carolyn Smith, Wilma Walker and Art Geldin. Friends will be received on Saturday, December 4, 2021 in St. John’s Lutheran Church, 212 North Clover St., Fremont, OH, 43420 at 10:00 A.M. with a memorial service to begin at 11:00 A.M.
