Leonard Faber

Leonard Faber, 71, of Oak Harbor, OH died Wednesday, February 8, 2012 at Orchard Villa in Oregon, OH. He was born on May 20, 1940 in Fulton, IL to Henry and Effie Houzenga Faber. On March 20, 1964 in Rock Falls, IL he married Diana Kay DeVries, and she survives. Leonard worked as a supervisor for International Paper Co. for 37 years before retiring. He was a member of the Jaycees. Leonard enjoyed working with his hands, fishing, watching sports, and NASCAR. He especially liked to spend time with his wife, children and grandchildren. In addition to his loving wife of 47 years, Diana, he is survived by his children: Michael Karen Faber of Bowe, Maryland, Michelle Brent Roberts of Mt. Juliet, TN, and Brad Caroline Faber of Maumee, OH, sister: Lois Seaman of Sterling, IL, grandchildren: Kourtni Blomker, Paige Blomker, Michael Faber, Zoe Faber, and Brody Faber. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister: Alberta Michels. Per Leonards wishes, cremation has taken place under the direct care of the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home Crematory, Oak Harbor. The family is planning a private celebration of his life at a later date. Memorial contributions in memory of Leonard may be given to a charity of the donors choice.
