Leonard A Billmaier

Leonard Gus Billmaier, age 81 of Maumee passed away on Friday June 1, 2012 at Lutheran Village at Wolf Creek. Gus was born in Maumee, OH on May 9, 1931 to Alfonse and Lillian Billmaier. Gus was the Vice President of Manufacturing and Plant Manager at Peterson American Corp. He was an Army veteran in the Korean War. Gus enjoyed traveling with his wife Nancy, amateur radio, street rods, coin collecting, model airplanes fishing and animals, especially dogs. He is survived by his children, Craig Jean Billmaier, Amy Nick Romano, Jeffrey Billmaier and Karen Billmaier; grandchildren, Nicholas, Tiffani, Rebecca, Christopher and Bradley; brother, Clarence and sister, Dolores. Also surviving is his faithful canine companion, Cassie. In addition to his parents, Gus was preceded in death by his loving wife, Nancy; brothers, Gerard, Melvin and Paul Billmaier and a sister, Madonna Bihn. Family and friends may call at the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home 501 Conant St. Maumee on Monday June 4, 2012 from 3-8 pm where funeral services will begin on Tuesday at 9:30 am followed by Funeral Mass10:00 am at St. Josephs Catholic Church, Maumee Interment will follow in St. Josephs Cemetery.
