Leonard Paul Bethel

Leonard Paul Bethel, age 77, of Holland died Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. He was born January 14, 1940 in Holland, Ohio to Edgar "Leonard" and Arlene (Klopfenstein) Bethel. A graduate of Holland High School, Leonard began working at the age of 15 for the Pepsi Cola Co., retiring in 2001 after 46 years of service. On August 22, 1959 he married Sandra Druschel and together they raised three children. Leonard loved antique cars and was a member of the Model A Club, he also believed in preserving the past for future generations and belonged to the Holland Springfield Spencer Historical Society. He is survived by his loving wife Sandy Bethel; daughter, Kellie (Larry) Eckman; son, Ken (Kathy) Bethel; 8 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; brother, Richard (Beverly) Bethel as well as many nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edgar "Leonard" and Arlene and his daughter, Libby (Bethel) Gonzalez. Friends will be received on Monday, November 27, 2017 from 4:00-9:00 p.m. at Neville-Shank Funeral Home, 7438 Airport Highway, Holland, OH (419-865-8879) where funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at 11:00 a.m.with Rev. Dr. Diane Carter officiating. Burial will follow in Springfield Township Cemetery.
