Leona E. Mcmaster Schwartz

LEONA E. SCHWARTZ Leona E. Schwartz, 91, passed away Thursday, March 29, 2012, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. Leona was born June 6, 1920 in Deshler, Ohio to George and Nancy Lauretta “Laura” (Butler) McMaster. Leona married Arthur Schwartz in 1964 in Toledo, Ohio and he preceded her in death in 1987. A longtime resident of Lima, OH, Leona was a bookkeeper for 40 years at Pangles Master Markets. She was a member of the American Legion and a member of The Hawthorn Country Club, where she loved playing golf. Leona is survived by her siblings, Bertha Rutter, Dexter (Marilyn) McMaster, Reva (Dalton) Christman, Jane Dennis and Barbee Fintel, along with many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Hazel Larimer, Erma Cluckey, Clarence McMaster, Robert McMaster, Harold McMaster, June McMaster and Earl McMaster. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Tuesday, April 3, 2012, at Witzler-Shank Funeral Home, 222 E. South Boundary, Perrysburg, Ohio (419-874-3133) with Pastor John Rutz officiating. Burial will follow at 1:30 P.M. at Memorial Park in Lima, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made in Leona’s name to Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg.
