Leona Adams

LEONA M. ADAMS Leona Adams, age 92, of Holland passed away on Wednesday, January 4, 2012 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Toledo. Leona was born in Toledo on July 11, 1919 to Edward & Bertha (Burgess) Bensch. She married Lawrence Adams in Toledo on February 26, 1938 and he preceded her in death on Aug. 1, 1983. Leona worked for over 28 years as a cashier for Seaway Foodtown before retiring in 1984. Surviving are her sons, Lawrence (Cheryle) Adams; Edward (Barbara) Adams; Randy (Robbin) Adams; 8 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sons, Danny & Lanny Adams; brother, Edward Bensch and sister, Viola Ridgeway. Friends will be received in the Neville Funeral Home, 7438 Airport Highway, Holland (419-865-8879) from 2-9 pm Sunday where funeral services will be held at 11 am Monday January 9, 2012. Burial will follow at Maplewood Cemetery, Toledo. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the Providence Lutheran Church Memorial Fund.
