Leo Charles Stoncheck

Leo Stoncheck, loving husband of Sarah Jane for sixty-one years, passed away at the age of eighty in Swanton, Ohio on Tuesday May 13th 2008. He was born on August 30th 1927 in Rossford, Ohio and continued to live in and around the Toledo area for most of his life. Leo was an outstanding citizen and wonderful leader for his community as well as for his family. Leo was Lieutenant as well as one of the founding members of the Monclova Volunteer Fire Department. In addition, Leo was employed as a purchasing agent with the former Welders Needs in Toledo for over twenty years. Leo was known as a family man and in his later years enjoyed long drives through Oak Openings Metropark with his wife. Leo was a member of Farley United Methodist church in Berkey and is survived by his loving family; wife, Sarah Jane; sons Chuck and Tom Jan; grandchildren, Matthew Mindi, Allison, Tifany, Adam, and Elizabeth; and great-grandchildren, Griffin and Olivia. A memorial service will be held on Friday at 10:00 AM at Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant Street, Maumee.
