Leo L. Schivelbein

Leo L. Schivelbein age 87 of Bowling Green, OH passed away on Tuesday, October 29, 2019 at Heritage Village of Waterville.  He was born in Iliff, Colorado on April 8, 1932 to Alex and Catherine (Sewald) Schivelbein. He was a Korean War veteran serving with the U.S. Army. Leo retired from Norfolk Southern  Railway.  He was a member of the VFW,  American Legion and enjoyed golf, fishing, handball, snowmobiling, traveling and having good times with his friends. Surviving is his daughter, Patti Schvelbein; sons, Stephen Schivelbein, Leo Len (Sue) Schivelbein and David (Julie) Schivelbein; grandchildren, Matthew, Melanie, Tabitha, Taylor, Thomas, Tysha, Nathan, Abi  and several great-grandchildren.  Also Surviving are his siblings, Alice Getz, Kathy (Jack) Ninke, Frances (Kurt) Alexander and Robert (Jeanie) Schivelbein.   In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Dorothy Schmeltz, Lucille and Eva Schivelbein and brother, Alex Schivelbein. Family and friends will be received at the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant St., Maumee on Saturday, November 2, 2019 from 9:00 AM to until the time of services at 11:00 AM.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimers Association.
