Lena Ahl Lynch

Lena Ann Lynch, 56, of Toledo, OH, went to be with our Lord suddenly on Sunday, March 3, 2024, at home.

Born March 31, 1967, to Karen and Richard Ahl, Lena eagerly burst into life quite prematurely and lived a spirited childhood with her three siblings, Nanette, Rick, and Michael, along with her uncles, aunt, many cousins, and friends.

After graduating Bedford High School in 1985, Lena worked in car manufacturing (Jeep), pharmaceutical sales, and eventually went on to drive big rigs and transporters.

She was kind, fun and forgiving, spoke from her heart, had a stellar sense of humor and an infectious laugh. Lena enjoyed fishing, parks, beaches, camping, thrifting, and spending time with her extended family and their children. Her loyal canine companions were very dear to her.

Lena leaves behind her devoted husband, Jeff Lynch. After nearly fifteen years of foundational friendship, Lena and Jeff couldn’t help falling in love and they married in 2000. Jeff may or may not have worn (and/or sang) blue suede shoes on their wedding day.

Together they navigated life across multiple states and shared in many adventures. Their unwavering support of each other through many challenges, including the tremendous loss of their sons James and Ryan, was extraordinary.

True to his nature and their love, Jeff was by Lena’s side in her passing. Jeff remembers Lena fondly as his best friend and will miss her deeply and always.

Also surviving Lena is her sister Nanette (Ahl) Massy.

Lena is sadly preceded in death by her sons Ryan Ahl and James Lynch, brothers Richard “Rick” Jr. and Michael Ahl, and parents Karen and Richard Ahl, Sr.

Lena will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by her remaining family and friends. May her laugh long echo in our hearts.

A gathering of family and friends to honor Lena will be held at Walker Funeral Home, 5155 W. Sylvania Ave, Toledo, OH, on March 15, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., with a short memorial service beginning at 7:30 p.m.
