Leland B. “Shotgun” Gunn, 87, of Perrysburg, OH died, Monday, December 7, 2015 in his home. He was born on January 24, 1928 to Burdette and Viola (Dawson) Gunn in Napoleon, Ohio. Leland graduated from Napoleon High School in 1945 and served in the United States Army. He was married on January 19, 1952 in Perrysburg to, Faythe J. Masters, who preceded him in death on April 20, 2002. Leland worked for 37 ½ years as a millwright for L.O.F. in Rossford retiring on January 1, 1987. He was a 50 year member of the Perrysburg Phoenix Lodge #123 F. & A. M., a member of the Local 9 Cullet Club, was a 32nd Degree Mason, a 60 year member of the Scottish Rite, a 60 year member of the Zenobia Shrine and its Mounted Patrol, and a member of the Wood County Zenobia Shrine. Other memberships include the Maumee Valley Gun Collectors Association, the National Rifle Association, the Rossford Eagles, and the Buckeye Sheriff Association. He is survived by his children, Kathy S. (Dean) Genter of Pettisville, OH, Terry L. Gunn of Perrysburg, OH, Jeffrey L. (Laurie) Gunn of Northwood, OH, and Judy A. (Rich) Roberts of Pemberville, OH; ten grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren, and brother, Ronald Gunn of Napoleon, OH. Friends will be received from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, December 10, 2015 at Witzler-Shank Funeral Home, 222 E. South Boundary Street Perrysburg, Ohio 43551 (419-874-3133), where Phoenix Lodge Masonic Services will be held at 7:00 P.M. A Funeral Service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, December 11, 2015, at 11:00 A.M. with burial in Fort Meigs Cemetery. Memorials may be made in the form on contributions to the Shriners Hospitals for Children c/o Zenobia Shriners, 8048 Broadstone Blvd. Perrysburg, OH 43551 or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
