Leland Clyde Dobbins, 70, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away on September 26, 2022. He was born on September 24, 1952, in Toledo to his late parents, Leland and Dorothy Dobbins where he grew up alongside his 4 siblings.
Leland graduated from DeVilbiss High School in 1970 where he was a member of the marching band playing the trumpet. As a teen, Leland found work doing TV repairs and he also worked at Sears. In his free time, he liked to build model cars and do slot car racing. He married in 1973 and had a son with his wife before their separation, but he always prioritized his son and loved spending time with him. He went on to begin work at Owens Illinois up until his division was bought out. From there he worked many various jobs up until his retirement.
Leland loved to read, especially about WWI and WWII. He was very interested in history as well as airplanes. He would share with his son the fond memories he had of visiting his grandmother down in Florida as a child. Above all things, Leland was a loving father, and his son will miss that the most about him. He always spent time with his son, whether they were going out to eat or simply watching movies together. He will be dearly missed.
Leland is survived by his son, Leland S. Dobbins; brother, Carl; sisters, Janet, Nancy; and many other relatives, nieces, nephews, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leland Dobbins, Dorothy Dobbins; brother, Hugh; dear friend, Sandy.
