Leland R. Buhrow

There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens... a time to be born and a time to die... a time to weep and a time to laugh... a time to mourn and a time to dance.

On March 12, 2026, Leland "Lee" took the Precious Lord Jesus' hand and rejoined family and friends who previously departed their earthly existence. He had been in declining health for a number of months and passed away peacefully at Riverview Nursing Home under hospice care in Oak Harbor, Ohio.

On January 3, 1943, he was born to Ernest J. and Ruby M. (Draper) Buhrow. Leland graduated from Genoa High School in 1961. He worked at Joseph Supermarket and Toledo Machining Plant in Perrysburg for 40 years and happily retired in 2008.

Leland married his high school sweetheart Janis V. (Brandeberry) Buhrow in Toledo, Ohio May 21, 1966. Together they enjoyed going on many cruises, one day bus trips, and to the Amish several times a year. Lee was a handy man, did many stain glass pieces and stain glass steppingstones, and loved to refinish antique wood in his retirement years.

Lee will be very missed by his loving wife of 59 years, Janis; God children, Bradley Buhrow and Kristiine McEowen; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Richard and Michael; sister, Judith Warfield; and several beloved kitties.

The family will receive friends at Robinson Walker Funeral Home, 501 West Street, Genoa, Saturday, March 21, 2026, from 10:00 am until funeral service at 12:00 pm. Interment: Harris Elmore Union Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be directed to Humane Ohio, Paws and Whiskers Cherry Street Mission, or Bethel Church, Elmore.
