Lee W. Witt, 65, of Oak Harbor, died Saturday, November 12, 2011 at his residence. He was born on September 16, 1946 in Port Clinton to Robert T. and Virginia Suhrbier Witt. On April 21, 1968 at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church in Oak Harbor he married the former Becky Gulau, and she survives. Lee was a member of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church in Oak Harbor and a veteran of the Army National Guard. He served in the 213 HEM from 1966-1974. He also served as a member of the Portage Fire Department from 1974-1996 where he was 2nd Assistant Chief. Lee enjoyed hunting with his good friend Ed Wood, but most of all he loved his children and grandchildren. Lee is survived by his wife of 43 years, Becky, children, Bryan Witt, Pamela Joe Vidal, Kevin Candi Witt, Tracy Nicole Witt, grandchildren, Emma and Dominick Vidal, Logan, Keegan, Gavin, and Braxtin Witt, Zack, Luke and Noah Haar, and soon to be granddaughter Kaylee Witt, brothers, Gary and Lynn Witt, and sisters, Nola Brindley and Sue Truesdale. Lee was preceded in death by his parents Visitation will be 2-9 p.m., Tuesday November 15, 2011 at the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home Crematory, Oak Harbor. The funeral service will be conducted 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 16, 2011 at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, Oak Harbor. Interment will be in LaCarpe Cemetery, Lacarne, Ohio.
