Lee G. Ryan

Lee G. Ryan a lifelong Maumee resident passed away Sunday, December 7, 2014 surrounded by three generations of his immediate family. Lee was the only son of Gladys (Berning) Baker who preceded him.  He is survived by his wife Sharon (Wallace) Ryan, son Brent (Michelle) Ryan, daughter Megan (David) Kalman and his much adored grandchildren: Brady Ryan, McKenna Ryan, Gianna Ryan, Dane Kalman, Lila Kalman. Lee graduated from Maumee High School (58) where he excelled at varsity baseball and basketball.  Lee attended BGSU following high school and then began a career in sales.  He soon pursued his entrepreneurial drive starting several companies including C.O.R Packaging and Box where he retired in 2008. Lee was a member of Jaycees, Kiwanis, The Historic Church of St. Patricks where he served on the Finance Committee and a recognized contributor and supporter of University of Toledo athletics.  Lee and Sharon were longtime members of the Toledo Club  and The Toledo Country Club where he pursued his love of cards, squash, tennis and golf with friends.  He reached his personal goal of Senior Golf Club Champion. Lee had a knack for turning strangers into acquaintances and acquaintances into friends. He was passionate about his family, pets, friends and the activities he shared with them.  He traveled the world with family and friends and was always in pursuit of the perfect tan!
